A FREE Play Reading Workshop: BUSTED, a new one-act comedy by Betsy Marks Delaney

“What happens when you mix Script Frenzy, inspiration, desperation and social networking? Comedy, deus ex machina and maybe a script…”

WHEN: Tuesday, December 8th, 7:30pm
WHERE: The Greenbelt Arts Center, 123 Centerway, Greenbelt, MD 20770
WHAT: First read through of the script BUSTED, followed by discussion & snacks!

The script should take just about an hour to read, maybe slightly less. Please RSVP so we have some idea of how many people to expect.

OutOftheBlackBox Theatre Company’s PLAY-READING SERIES makes its debut!

Come join us on Monday, February 2nd at 7PM as we read and discuss TINY TIM’S LAST CHRISTMAS (CAROL) a new musical written by Penny Martin, under consideration for entry in the 2009 DC Fringe Festival. It’s your chance to participate in theatre without the added stress of remembering your lines.

“Expect the unexpected in this musical story of lost souls who are condemned, for their mistakes, to perform “A Christmas Carol” in Hell until they get it right. If the show is REALLY good, some souls will get out. Honest!”

This event will take place in Old Greenbelt, close to the Green Line and Metrobus. Space is limited. To reserve your place, please contact us ASAP. Confirmation is first come, first served.

Announcing a very busy weekend for OutOftheBlackBox Theatre Company:

*FREE WORKSHOP: A new adaptation of Ben Jonson’s Volpone written and directed by Bill Jones, Ph.D., produced by Betsy Marks Delaney*

Please join us at 8pm on Friday, January 26 & Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the Goodloe Memorial Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 1540-C Pointer Ridge Place, Bowie, MD 20716.

This is your chance to preview our production, now scheduled for the Cap Fringe Fest this summer! Discussion to follow each evening event.

Auditions will be held at the Glenn Dale Volunteer Fire Department (11900 Glenn Dale Blvd, Glenn Dale, MD 20769) on January 28 from 3:30 – 5:30 PM and 29 from 7 – 9:00 PM. Seeking 6 men (ages 25-65) and 7 women (ages 18-70). Auditions will consist of cold readings. All roles are open. This is a volunteer (non-paid) production.
