John C. Malloy, 1936 – 2008

As Artistic Director and also director of O2B2’s first two productions, it’s my sad duty to report that John Malloy, who played “John” in Six Characters in Search of an Author and shared the role of “Capitano” in A Company of Wayward Saints (his last onstage role) has passed on after suffering from the long-term effects of lung disease. His obituary, published in the Capital Gazette, follows.

John, a gentleman in every sense of the word, was a pleasure to work with and I am terribly sorry for of his loss. My company and I extend our deep condolences to his wife Nancy and his family.
